Biography
About Me
I am a 41 year old divorced father to two (18M and 14M) and stepfather to two (6M and 2F). I live in Akron, Ohio where I am currently enjoying the training process to become an Assistant Manager of Quality for a major Plasma organization. I graduated from the University of Phoenix (Online Campus) with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management in 2015 and I have completely failed to make use of that degree ever since.
I still work on home improvements, read books, and occasionally write down some of the random ramblings of my brain. I still enjoy tinkering with mechanical things but these days I have been researching more diverse hobbies, like blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, and converting a van or a school bus into an RV or other form of tiny home on wheels.
Since my initial update, I parted ways with the traveling job and with my ex-wife, but I feel that my relationship with my children has improved overall as I have been attempting to discover how to live my best and most authentic life. I have sought therapy for some lifelong depression issues and anxiety related to the relationship with my ex. I have also discovered that I have ADHD and this revelation has explained so very much about my life and how I have had to adapt to the world around me.
I met my fiancée just before leaving my ex (the story is a complicated one, suffice it to say, I was not cheating and everything has been ethical) and we have been together for nearly 5 years now. She has not given up on any dreams and yet still has no trouble supporting me, though I am often the one keeping our home welcoming and happy.

Update!
Wow! It has been 8 years since I've updated this site and quite a bit has changed. My family and I moved to Southington, Ohio 7 years ago to be closer to family and I got rather caught up in the daily business of being alive and trying to survive some massive changes. I'll be catching this website up to date over the coming months and then probably closing this chapter of my life.
I can tell you as of this moment that the wife and I broke up 2 years ago for various personal reasons and I've been busy rebuilding my life. Keep an eye on the blog tab for general updates.
Stay tuned, readers! I'll be back!
Some basic information
When I started this site, I was a 32 year old married father of two. My family and I lived in St Marys, Georgia, though I was only there when work was unavailable. As you can assume, my honey-do list seemed never-ending. I was a Steam Turbine Field Engineer and I pretty much loved my job. I got to travel all over the US and the world, building and repairing steam turbines, generally in power plants.
In my spare time (yeah right), I worked on home improvements, read books, studied business management in the hopes of completing a degree in the subject, and occasionally wrote down some of the random ramblings of my brain. I enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things (like car engines) and often managed to get it all torn apart just in time to get called away for work. Unfortunately for my wife, this also seemed to happen in the middle of every project I have ever started.
I grew up in a non-descript small town in NE Ohio and was only a mediocre student, preferring fiction over fact most of the time. As such, I had no basis for a decent college scholarship and there was no way my family could support me through college, so I joined the Navy. In the Navy I studied in one of the most difficult schools they had to offer and graduated, albeit with (once again) average grades. I spent 5 years on a nuclear powered submarine working in the engineroom around (you guessed it) steam turbines, among other pieces of heavy machinery.
After an honorable discharge, I wasted some time and then was interviewed by the company I work for now. Since then I have been to several US States, some more than once, and a few other countries. I met my wife before I went away to boot camp and we were married about a year and a half after we met. She had given up her dreams and travelled with me to that sleepy town and she supported my wanderings by keeping our home (mostly) welcoming and happy, even though she would oftentimes like very much to go with me. In many ways, this website was as much about her as wat is about me.
