Florida
Living just north of the Florida border for the past 9 years has given me the opportunity to explore the state quite extensively. If you find yourself in the Ft Pierce area, you have to stop in at Dave's Diner. I know the owners personally and if you come in often enough, you will too. St. Augustine has a lot to offer, and you have to check out the Ghost Tour. There are other tours available as well and they're all worth it; I guarantee that even the most fanatical history buff will learn something. Jacksonville hosts an international airport and the longest ongoing construction project in the history of Florida. There's quite a lot going on in this small peninsular state, so go check it out!
