I went to Seattle while still in the Navy. My ship changed homeport and, after a not-so-harrowing journey around South America, we found ourselves in the frigid northern waters around Bremerton, Washington. I was only in the area for three weeks, but I was determined to get down to Seattle for a visit. A friend of mine was in town at the time and that was all the excuse I needed.
We wandered the town for most of the night, had a dragon pizza at Zeke's, contemplated a trip to the top of the Space Needle (decided against it), and generally saw the sights. I didn't have a camera with me, but this is definitely a city worth visiting. I will be back, but I have no idea when that may happen.

Fun Facts
On May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helen's erupted resulting in 57 deaths and billions of dollars in damage. Mt. St. Helen's lost 1,131 feet of elevation in the eruption and spewed forth about one cubic mile of dust, ash and debris. The blast leveled over four billion feet of timber -- enough to build 150,000 homes.
