Montreal
I went to Montreal briefly while I was in Schenectady, NY for training. It amazed me how easy the border crossing was into Canada, but then again, I've never had any felony convictions...
A friend and I wandered the town for several hours, drifting in and out of different storefronts that looked interesting from the street. We noticed that there were very nearly two strip clubs on every block, so we went in to one of them, just for the novelty. I have to say, the girls were clean looking and courteous, but there was no way I was paying $40 for a tease. (Strip clubs aren't really my idea of a good time anyway, but when there are so many of them, you just have to see why)
We eventually made our way down to what appeared to be a historical district and I managed to get some pictures. The buildings, particularly the old churches, were beautiful. I am a fan of architecture, so of course I try to capture images of structures that catch my interest.
Since Quebec is a predominantly French-speaking area, most of the television programs were in French. This was the first time I had encountered such a thing. You may occasionally come across a channel in the US like Telemundo that is broadcast almost entirely in Spanish, but most of the channels are English-speaking. It's funny how the small details are what really strike you as foreign about a new place.

Fun Facts
Montreal was initially called Ville-Marie (City of Mary). It was in 1775 that the city became known by its original name.
